“A Virtue” was originally written back in 2007. This was my first encounter, with what just recently the new Marvel Thunderbolts movie has so graphically represented as the personification of depression, eloquently dubbed “the void.” Failed band, failed relationship, no real direction. There was a really loud voice telling me to give up. I’ve been lucky to be able to channel that voice into music and by creating a fictional character that is going through what I’m going through. Allowing me to gain an outside perspective in order properly navigate the endless maze of depression. “A Virtue” did not make it to recording till 2014 with my release of “Through the Looking Glass.” There you will hear a full band recording or how I intended the song to sound like. It can also be heard in an acoustic format from my 2020 release “Halo Forming.”
